What do you do with KARA, a black leopard abandoned in sub-zero temperatures in a garage in Wyoming, with no food or water, suffering from frostbitten ears, paws, and tail? Or with TAMARA, a tiger cub being sold out of the back of a station wagon at a Southern California shopping mall?
Or with LEO, an African lion cub found living in the basement of a house outside Branson, Missouri? Or with PATRICK the liger, a half-lion, half-tiger hybrid whose cage in a private zoo had been so small that the muscles in his hindquarters and back legs had lost muscle tone?
